Bootleg! is a fundraising event for the All-ages Movement Project--a national organization that supports the creation and sustainability of community music organizations by and for young people.

This music speakeasy was organized to point to the clandestine nature of youth music culture.  While many strengths arise out of self-sufficient, off the grid organizing for youth cultural space and arts creation, most independent community spaces and music programs are struggling, losing the real estate battle, and often disappearing even after years of existence and support.   The cost is a loss of safe spaces for young folks to gather, music scenes that are not regenerated by local young artists and producers, and a lack of spaces for touring artists to develop young audiences that will support them over time.

AMP is an alliance of local organizations coming together to research, document, and disseminate best practices while building important relationships and expanding resources to support youth DIY spaces, hip hop recording programs, and meaningful cultural opportunities in any town in the US.
